Guy Garvey

English singer, songwriter, and radio presenter

Guy Garvey is a British singer, songwriter, and radio presenter. He formed Elbow while at sixth-form college in the early '90s. Garvey released the album Courting the Squall and hosts the BBC radio show Guy Garvey's Finest Hour. He collaborated with Peter Jobson and Paul Saunderson on the soundtracks for Life (Music from the BBC Programme) and The More You Ignore Me. He has also appeared on the Massive Attack album Heligoland, produced the debut album from I Am Kloot, and wrote the 2012 London Olympics theme song First Steps. He was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Radio Academy in 2014.
