

Miyoshi Umeki
Japanese-American singer and actress
Miyoshi Umeki was a Japanese-American singer and actress. She released the albums Miyoshi Sings For Arthur Godfrey and Miyoshi. Umeki performed popular songs including Don't Marry Me and A Hundred Million Miracles with Rodgers & Hammerstein and Kam Tong. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1958 film Sayonara. Umeki also appeared in the films Flower Drum Song and the television series Courtship of Eddie's Father.
