

Philip Glass
Philip Glass is an American composer and pianist. He scored experimental theatre and Hollywood film, working with artists such as David Byrne, Allen Ginsberg, Martin Scorsese, and Ravi Shankar. Glass released the albums Glass: Solo Piano and Glassworks & Interview with Philip Glass. He also released The Hours (Music from the Motion Picture) with Lyric Quartet and Michael Riesman. Among Philip Glass's most popular songs are Metamorphosis: Metamorphosis Two and Prophecies. He collaborated with Lyric Quartet and Michael Riesman on the recording of The Poet Acts and the piece of the same name. Glass is known for his soundtrack to the film Koyaanisqatsi. He also appeared in the 2004 documentary about the making of the film, as well as the documentaries Patti Smith: Dream of Life and Under African Skies.
