Ute Lemper is a German singer and actress. She debuted with Ute Lemper Sings Kurt Weill and has since released albums including Berlin Cabaret Songs (Sung in English), Weill: The Seven Deadly Sins with the Berlin RIAS Chamber Ensemble and John Mauceri, and Weill: The Threepenny Opera with Milva and René Kollo. Lemper worked with Stephen Sondheim on the musical City of Strangers. She later achieved popularity with her rendition of All That Jazz with the Chicago Ensemble. She has performed The Thin Ice with Roger Waters and Parler D'amour with Art Mengo. She has also appeared in films such as Bogus, Appetite, and Magic in the Moonlight.
