Bruce Johnston is an American musician. He is a member of The Beach Boys. Johnston spent his early career as a producer for acts such as Ron Holden and the Rip Chords. He released his first solo album Surfin' 'Round the World in 1962, followed shortly by Surfer's Pajama Party in 1963. After his first stint with The Beach Boys, Johnston released another album, 1977’s Going Public. His most popular songs include Surfer Stomp, Deirdre, and Pipeline. He has appeared in several documentaries, including Brian Wilson - Songwriter 1962-1969 and The Beach Boys, and the film The Beach Boys: Live In Concert.
