Justin Furstenfeld is an American rock musician. He is the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter of the band Blue October, which he formed in 1995. With Blue October, Furstenfeld released the breakthrough album Foiled, which reached the Top 30 of the Billboard 200 and went platinum. He followed this with Approaching Normal and Sway, both of which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200. Furstenfeld has also released solo albums, including Open Book Winter Album and Songs from an Open Book. His most popular songs include Calling You, Hate Me, and The Answer. He has appeared in the documentaries Blue October: Things We Do at Night and Get Back Up.
