Russ Columbo was an American singer, violinist, and actor (1908-1934). He made his professional debut as a violinist at the Imperial Theatre in San Francisco in 1909. Columbo joined the Gus Arnheim Orchestra as a violinist in 1928 and became its featured vocalist in 1930. His albums include Save The Last Dance For Me, Summertime Sophistication - Russ Columbo Golden Age, and Timeless Russ Columbo. Columbo dubbed the singing voices of non-singing movie stars such as Gary Cooper and Lewis Stone. Among his most popular songs are You Call It Madness, But I Call It Love and Paradise.
