Gurf Morlix is an American singer-songwriter and producer. He taught himself to play country music influenced by Hank Williams. Morlix led Lucinda Williams' band before producing her albums. He has produced albums for Ray Wylie Hubbard, Tom Russell, Butch Hancock, Ian McLagan, Slaid Cleaves, the Pinedogs, and the Setters. Morlix released his own albums including Blaze Foley’s 113th Wet Dream, Fishin’ in the Muddy, and Last Exit to Happyland. His songs include Clay Pigeons, Hard Road, and Crossroads. He appears in the documentary Blaze Foley: Duct Tape Messiah.
