Alsou is a Tatar singer from Russia. She released her self-titled debut album Алсу in 1999. She finished second in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Solo. Her albums include 19 and Inspired. She hosted the Eurovision Song Contest finals in Moscow in 2009 and appeared in the film Spirit Trap. Her most popular songs include Зимний сон, Иногда, and Колыбельная медведицы.
