Lazy Lester

American blues musician (1933–2018)

Lazy Lester was an American blues musician known for his work on the harmonica (1933-2018). He recorded his first solo sessions at J.D. Miller’s Crowley, Louisiana studios in the 1950s. He released albums including Blues Stop Knockin’, I Hear You Knockin’ and You Better Listen. Some of his most popular songs include Bloodstains On the Wall, I Need Money and Alligator Shuffle. He also appeared in the documentary I am the Blues.
