Ginny Simms was an American singer and actress. She released records including Selections from Night and Day and The Sentimental Stylings of Ginny Simms. Her most popular songs include Deep Purple, Why Don't We Do This More Often with Harry Babbitt and Kay Kyser, and Indian Summer with Kay Kyser and His Orchestra. Simms appeared in the films Night and Day, Playmates, and Seven Days' Leave. She left Kyser in the early 1940s to pursue her own career, launching her own radio show sponsored by Philip Morris on NBC.
