David Amram is an American composer, arranger, and conductor. He recorded with Lionel Hampton in Paris and released the albums At Home / Around the World and No More Walls. Amram also released David Amram: This Land (Symphonic Variations On a Song By Woody Guthrie) with the Colorado Symphony. Some of Amram's most popular songs include Havana/New York (For Dizzy Gillespie), En Memoria De Chano Pozo, and Theme From the Manchurian Candidate. He has appeared in the documentaries Radio Unnameable, The Jazz Loft According to W. Eugene Smith, and Wisdom.
