Lovett has popular songs including If I Had a Boat, You've Got a Friend In Me with Randy Newman, and Private Conversation. He received a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for Funny How Time Slips Away. Lovett has also appeared in several films such as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Player, and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
