

Isaac Stern
American musician
Isaac Stern was an American musician. He formed a trio with cellist Leonard Rose and pianist Eugene Istomin in 1961. Stern released several notable albums, including Bach: Double Concerto for Two Violins In D Minor & Violin Concertos Nos. 1 & 2 with the English Chamber Orchestra and Itzhak Perlman, and Brahms: Sextets, Opp. 18 & 36 featuring Yo-Yo Ma and Emanuel Ax. He also released Brahms: The Piano Quartets Op. 25, 26 & 60 with Yo-Yo Ma and Emanuel Ax. Stern has performed Concerto in D Minor for Two Violins and Orchestra, BWV 1043: II. Largo, ma non tanto with Itzhak Perlman and Zubin Mehta. His appearances in the documentaries From Mao to Mozart: Isaac Stern in China and Small Wonders further solidified his legacy.
