Ray Noble was an English jazz and big band musician (1903-1978). He composed The Very Thought of You and The Touch of Your Lips. His albums include Nostalgia: Four Great British Dance Bands with Harry Roy and Lew Stone, The Elegant Swing of 1935 - Ray Noble’s English Jazz, and The Golden Age of Light Music: The 1930s Vol. 2 - In Town Tonight with Henry Hall and The BBC Dance Orchestra. Noble’s songs include By the Light of the Silvery Moon and Let’s Swing It. He also appeared in the film A Damsel In Distress.
