Bob Cooper was a West Coast jazz musician (1925-1993). Cooper joined the Stan Kenton Orchestra in 1945. Cooper led his first recording sessions on Capitol in 1954, releasing the albums The Bob Cooper Sextet and Shifting Winds. He also released Blowin’ Country with Bud Shank and Do-Re-Mi with June Christy. Cooper’s most popular songs include It’s De-Lovely, Scarf Dance, and Dinah with Bud Shank.
