American singer, songwriter, and record producer

Brett James is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He released his eponymous debut album in 1995. He then transitioned into writing songs for other artists, such as Carrie Underwood's smash hit Jesus Take the Wheel. He also wrote for Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, and many others. In later years, he released Comfort My People with Reva James and Great Light. James composed original music for the 2020 film Then Came You and one of his most popular songs is I Hold On.
