Enrique Guzmán

Venezuelan-born Mexican singer

Enrique Guzmán is a Venezuelan-born Mexican singer. In the 1950s, he helped bring rock and roll to Mexico with translated songs like Jailhouse Rock and Blue Suede Shoes and with the group Los Teen Tops. He also wrote his own hits, including Pensaba en Ti.


In the 1960s, he starred in the TV show Silvia y Enrique with his then-wife Silvia Pinal. He also appeared in the films Especialista en chamacas, La juventud se impone, and Twist, locura de juventud. Later, Guzmán worked with his daughter Alejandra Guzmán on some of her albums in the 1990s and 2000s.
