Allan Sherman was an American singer, actor, producer, and writer who became known as a song parodist. He wrote and performed Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh. He released albums including Cat in the Hat (Songs from the Cat in the Hat) and My Son, the Folk Singer. Sherman sold millions of records in the early 1960s and headlined at Carnegie Hall before passing away in 1973.
