

Youssou N'Dour
Senegalese singer, composer and politician (born 1959)
Youssou N'Dour is a Senegalese politician and singer-songwriter. He released the album Set in 1990. He also released the albums Joko: the Link, MBALAX, and Egypt for which he received the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary World Music Album. His most popular songs include 7 Seconds, Boul Bayékou, and Birima. N'Dour was appointed as a government minister and presidential advisor in Senegal. He has appeared in the documentaries Return to Gorée and Youssou N'Dour: I Bring What I Love, and the film Amazing Grace alongside Michael Gambon and Benedict Cumberbatch.
