Sonny Charles

American soul singer and songwriter

Sonny Charles is an American soul singer and songwriter. He released the single Black Pearl with the Checkmates, LTD. in 1969, which peaked in the Top 10 R&B charts. Charles was a member of Steve Miller Band. In 1982, he released the singles Always on My Mind, which peaked at #53 on the R&B charts, and Put It In A Magazine, which peaked at number 2 on the same charts. He also appears in the film Steve Miller Band: Live at Austin City Limits.
