“Here we go, the big 50 of Compiled & Mixed—and I’m so grateful for the amazing response these mixes get every month,” John Digweed tells Apple Music about this December 2025 installment. The veteran house DJ/producer has delivered hours and hours of magical musical discovery for this exclusive series since 2021, but he’s pulling out all the stops to mark this huge milestone. “It was important for me to offer something different from what I play in my club sets and on my Transitions radio show,” he says. “I’ve loved breaks since the beginning of my career, and having an outlet to showcase a different set of artists and sounds has become a real career highlight.” And when it comes to what to expect from this sonic tour of cutting-edge beats, there’s no guide more expert than the man himself. “PETRU (KSS) kicks things off this month with his track, ‘Landing’—a suitably epic intro for this anniversary mix,” says Digweed. “Other highlights include Superpitcher’s ‘Pandora’s Box’ featuring Alexis Taylor from Kompakt Records’ Total 25 compilation. This series consistently features incredible electronica, and the 25th edition may be one of the best yet. The rest of the mix is a real heads-down journey into breakbeat. Things get deeper with Long Island Sound’s ‘CV/Gate’ before wrapping up with something brand new from one of my favorite DJ/producers, Chris Fortier. His legendary 2004 progressive anthem ‘Losing Wait’ has just been remixed by Framewerk, bringing it right back to the future.”
