- AUG 7, 2025 Kill The Lights - EP
Luke Bryan revisits his 2015 record Kill the Lights on this six-pack of tunes, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of the fifth studio album from the country superstar. Bryan pulls together the album’s original six singles for this collection, beginning with lead single “Kick the Dust Up.” A party anthem celebrating rural lifestyle, that tune is emblematic of the bro-country sound that dominated 2010s country music, incorporating elements of hip-hop and pop alongside more traditional country instrumentation. The sultry second single “Strip It Down” is still one of Bryan’s sexier tunes, while the Karen Fairchild collaboration “Home Alone Tonight” ups the romantic ante with a “will they, won’t they”-style duet about two heartbroken strangers connecting at a bar. “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” is textbook wholesome Bryan, and is the EP’s rootsiest, most purely country song. Bryan rounds out the project with the dance-floor-ready “Move” and the wistful ballad “Fast.”
