Joe Strummer was a British singer-songwriter and musician. He was the frontman and main songwriter of The Clash and a member of The Pogues. Strummer released the albums Rock Art and the X-Ray Style, Global a Go-Go and Streetcore with The Mescaleros. Among his most popular songs with The Mescaleros are Mondo Bongo, Johnny Appleseed and Coma Girl. He contributed music to films by Alex Cox and appeared in the films Mystery Train and Straight to Hell Returns.
