Tom Hamilton is an American musician who serves as the bassist for Aerosmith. He released the albums City of Vorticity, Spelling Water, and Tom Hamilton: A Work in Progress. His most popular songs include Tommy's Cha Cha, CC's Bounce, and The Fine. Hamilton was a member of Thin Lizzy and served as Director of Electronic Music/Recording Studio at Washington University from 1971 to 1980. Concurrently, he held the position of Sound and Music Director at Innervision, St. Louis, Missouri. He studied with John Downey, Thom Mason, and Robert Wykes and appears in the documentary Aerosmith: Rock for the Rising Sun.
