- NOV 14, 2025 225 Business (feat. YoungBoy Never Broke Again)

It’s a bit surprising that 225 Business is the first time two of Baton Rouge’s most celebrated rappers, Boosie Badazz and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, have released a project together. After all, both MCs are willing and able collaborators. YoungBoy has teamed up with Birdman, Moneybagg Yo, and others for albums, while Boosie has linked up with Webbie, the late MO3, B.G., and more. The chemistry between the two on 225 Business is immediately palpable. Opener “Switches” is an aggressive and swaggering street anthem, with Boosie and YoungBoy trading bars over crunching drums, trunk-rattling bass, and colorful ad-libs from both MCs. “Dead” is a soulful and emotional anthem that finds the artists tapping into the pain rap that’s become a calling card for YoungBoy. On the lighter end of the project, “Desperado” finds the rappers unexpectedly embracing the country aesthetic that has coursed its way through some areas of rap. Here, they prove themselves more than adept at mounting a couple of horses, rocking cowboy hats, and cruising through Baton Rouge like the outlaws they’ve always fancied themselves to be.
