American singer, songwriter, and actress

Phyllis Hyman was an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She collaborated with Norman Connors and as a duet partner for Michael Henderson, later working with Pharoah Sanders and McCoy Tyner. Hyman released the albums Living All Alone, which featured the popular song of the same name, Prime of My Life, and The Legacy of Phyllis Hyman. Her other popular songs included First Time Together and Meet Me On the Moon. Hyman also appeared in the film Soda Cracker.
