Rodney Crowell is an American musician. He penned hits for Crystal Gayle, Bob Seger, and Highway 101, and produced several albums for Rosanne Cash. Crowell released the solo albums The Houston Kid, Diamonds & Dirt, and Life Is Messy. Crowell spent three years as part of Emmylou Harris' Hot Band, and has also released popular songs I Ain't Living Long Like This, Leaving Louisiana In the Broad Daylight, and Stars On the Water.
