American folk singer-songwriter, musician and social activist
Pete Seeger was an American folk singer. He formed the Almanac Singers and the Weavers. Seeger released American Ballads and American Industrial Ballads. He also released Broadsides - Songs and Ballads, Songs of Struggle & Protest: 1930-1950, and Dangerous Songs!? Seeger's most popular songs included Which Side Are You On, We Shall Overcome and This Land Is Your Land. He appeared in documentaries such as The Ballad of Ramblin' Jack, Bob Dylan: The Other Side of the Mirror, and Greenwich Village: Music that Defined a Generation.
