American country musician
Tex Ritter was an American country musician (1905-1974). He sang the Oscar-winning theme song Do Not Forsake Me for the classic Western High Noon. Ritter released the albums Songs from the Western Screen, Stan Kenton! Tex Ritter! with Stan Kenton, and Blood on the Saddle. His most popular songs include I'm Wastin' My Tears On You, Rye Whiskey, and Blood On the Saddle. Between 1945 and 1946, he released seven successive Top 5 hits. Ritter also appeared in the films Oklahoma Raiders, Riders of the Rockies, and Sing, Cowboy, Sing.
