Baaba Maal is a Senegalese singer. He released Taara in 1990 following his collaborative album Djam Leelii - The Adventurers with Mansour Seck in 1989. Maal then released Nomad Soul in 1998, collaborating with Brian Eno and Howie B. He has also released Missing You (Mi Yeewnii), Mother Afrika, Television in 2009 with Brazilian Girls, and The Traveller in 2016. Maal has worked with various artists across different projects, co-writing Wakanda, the theme song from Black Panther, and releasing popular songs such as There Will Be Time featuring Mumford & Sons, Wona featuring Beatenberg, and Ngamila featuring The Very Best.
