John Lurie is an American musician, painter, and actor. He cofounded The Lounge Lizards. He released the albums Mystery Train, Painting with John, and The Legendary Marvin Pontiac - Greatest Hits. Lurie has collaborated with Marc Ribot, Tony Scherr and Marc Ribot. He has appeared in the films New Rose Hotel, Paris, Texas, and Stranger Than Paradise.
