Anne Briggs is a British singer. She released her debut EP, The Hazards of Love, in the early ’60s and went on to perform and record old British folk songs throughout the 1960s and ’70s. Briggs has released albums including Anne Briggs, The Time Has Come, and the compilation A Collection. She moved toward a singer-songwriter approach in the 1970s. Her most popular songs include Go Your Way, Lowlands, and Blackwater Side.
