Del Reeves

American singer (1932–2007)

Del Reeves was an American singer. The title track of his 1965 album Girl On the Billboard was his only country chart-topper, but he maintained a consistent presence on country radio in the mid-20th century with songs like "Looking at the World Through a Windshield" and "The Philadelphia Fillies." Reeves, who was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 1966, hosted the syndicated TV show Del Reeves' Country Carnival from 1970 to 1973, and in the late '70s he shifted his focus to the business' executive side. He died in 2007.
