John Baker
British musician and composer (1937-1997)
John Baker was a British musician and composer, born in 1937. He studied piano and composition at the Royal Academy of Music. He joined the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in 1963. Trunk Records released two collections of his work from his time at the Radiophonic Workshop in 2008. Baker released the albums The John Baker Tapes, ACDA 2010 Northwest Conference Rex Putnam High School A-Cappella Choir featuring the choir, and An Invitation to Celebrate Recovery. Some of his most popular songs include Spirit Bronze Pipes with Shafqat Ali Khan and Paul Plimley, Codename, and Tros y Gareg (Main Theme). Baker also appeared in the film The Black Rider.
