His most popular songs include En Mi Viejo San Juan, Si Dios Me Quita la Vida, and Se Te Olvída (La Mentira). Solís reached international acclaim in 1957, making appearances in the United States, Central America, and South America. He commenced his acting career in 1959, appearing in films such as Especialista en chamacas, Juan pistolas, and Los Cuatro Juanes, and went on to star in more than 20 movies throughout his career.
