Linda Ronstadt is an American singer. She was a dominant force in '70s pop music with an unstoppable onslaught of smooth, soft-rocking hits. She released the studio albums Silk Purse, Heart Like a Wheel, Prisoner In Disguise, Simple Dreams, and Living In the USA. She also released Mad Love, which flirted briefly but memorably with New Wave. She released the album Trio in 1987 with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris. Ronstadt received Grammy Awards for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for Hasten Down the Wind in 1977 and Best Tropical Latin Album for Frenesí in 1993. Her most popular songs include When Will I Be Loved, You’re No Good, and Long Long Time. Ronstadt has appeared in the documentaries Linda and the Mockingbirds and Immediate Family, as well as the film The Pirates of Penzance.
