Cyd Charisse was an American dancer and actress. Charisse then appeared in the iconic Zeigfeld Follies directed by Vincente Minelli and secured a contract with MGM where producer Arthur Freed renamed her. She appeared in films such as Singin' in the Rain where she is known for her dance scene with Gene Kelly, Brigadoon, and The Harvey Girls. Charisse passed away in 2008.
