Jason James transitioned from punk and alt-rock bands to classic country and honky-tonk, leading him to write country songs and perform on the Texas open-mic scene. He then assembled a band and signed to New West Records. He released his self-titled debut album (produced by Keith Gattis and John Evans) in 2015. He also released the single Everything I See.
