Trae Young is an American basketball player. During his college career with the Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball team, Young was the only player to ever lead the NCAA in both points and assists per game in a single season. He also tied the then-record in NCAA Division I single-game assists.
He was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 2018 but was traded to the Atlanta Hawks on the same day. As a point guard for the team, he has been named an NBA All-Star multiple times.
