James Monroe Iglehart is an American actor and comic book writer. He originated the role of the Genie in the Broadway production of Aladdin and played Louis Armstrong in the Broadway company of A Wonderful World. Iglehart later assumed the roles of the Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the Broadway cast of Hamilton in April 2017 and recreated the role of King Arthur in the 2023 Broadway revival of Spamalot. He has appeared in the documentary We Are Freestyle Love Supreme and films such as Three Christs alongside Richard Gere and Peter Dinklage. Iglehart has also released several singles including Get Rolling with Otis Theme Song, Vought’s Greatest Hits Medley (from The Boys) with Erin Moriarty and Laurie Holden, and Let’s Put The Christ Back In Christmas with Andrew Rannells and Shoshana Bean.
