Billy Porter is an American actor and singer. He originated the role of Lola in the musical Kinky Boots in 2013. Porter appeared in the FX television series Pose which ran from 2018 to 2021. For his role in the show, he received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2019.  Porter's movies include Noel, Cinderella, 80 For Brady, and the documentary Cyndi Lauper: Let the Canary Sing. He has directed the film Anything's Possible, produced the series Black + Iconic, and has released singles including For What It's Worth, Children, and Love Yourself
