American actress, writer, and comedian
Laraine Newman is an American actress, writer, and comedian. She studied mime with Marcel Marceau in Paris before helping form the improv group The Groundlings in California in 1972. She was a cast member on the original seasons of Saturday Night Live from 1975 to 1980. Newman has also appeared in films such as Invaders from Mars, Jingle All the Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Perfect with Jamie Lee Curtis, Problem Child 2, and Wholly Moses!.
