Ginger Rogers was an American actress and dancer. She won the Texas State Charleston Competition in 1925 and performed at the Paramount Theatre on Broadway with Paul Ash's orchestra in 1929. Rogers appeared in films such as 42nd Street, Top Hat alongside frequent costar Fred Astaire, Bachelor Mother, and Kitty Foyle, for which she received the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1941. Before The Parade Passes By is one of her most popular songs.
