Arthur Jarrett

American singer (1907-1987)

Arthur Jarrett was an American singer. He appeared in the film Trigger Pals with Dorothy Fay and Al St. John in 1939. Jarrett inaugurated his own dance band in January 1935, which debuted at the Blackhawk Restaurant in Chicago. He led the Hal Kemp dance band following its leader's death in the early '40s and served as a bandleader, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, banjo, and trombone. Jarrett contributed to the music industry through his performances on the singles Georgia On My Mind with The King's Jesters and Frankie Trumbauer and His Orchestra and I Still Get a Thrill (Thinking of You) and Me and the Man In the Moon with Ted Weems and His Orchestra.
