Ivor Novello
Welsh composer and actor (1893–1951)
Ivor Novello was a Welsh composer and actor (1893-1951). He appeared in The Bohemian Girl co-starring Gladys Cooper, Bonnie Prince Charlie also co-starring Gladys Cooper, and The White Rose directed by D.W. Griffith. Novello also starred in Alfred Hitchcock's Downhill with Ian Hunter and The Lodger. Novello released several singles including We’ll Gather Lilacs with Richard Tauber, Keep the Home Fires Burning For Alto and Ensemble with David Warin Solomons, and My Dearest Dear For Alto and Piano with David Warin Solomons and Kevin Drury.
