Chad Morgan

Australian country music singer and guitarist

Chad Morgan was an Australian country music singer and guitarist (1933-2025). He performed live music for over seven decades, known as The Sheik of Scrubby Creek for his vaudeville-style country and western, and folk songs. Morgan was known for his unique style of music and entertaining stage presence, developing a goofy stage persona and prominent teeth which became part of his public image. He directed films including Adventures in Odyssey: Race to Freedom in 2013. Morgan released the singles The Friends We Lost Too Soon with Lindsay Waddington and Allan Caswell, and The Ballad Of Bill And Eva with Shane Howard. He retired following his final performance of the Farewell to Australia tour in 2024. Chad Morgan passed away in 2025.
