For the last decade of ordinary office worker Kim Dok Ja's (Ahn Hyo Seop) life, one thing has remained constant: reading the fantasy web novel "Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World." While the story was originally popular, it lost viewership due to strange plot choices – except for Dok Ja, who eventually became the novel's sole reader. As Dok Ja reads the final chapter of the novel, he finds himself dissatisfied with the story's ending... and suddenly, the world around him transforms into the novel's intergalactic setting. Now, Dok Ja is forced to team up with novel protagonist Yu Jung Hyeok (Lee Min Ho), a powerful warrior, in an attempt to save the world, despite having zero relevant experience. Will Dok Ja and Jung Hyeok succeed in their mission, or is their fate already written for them? This drama was adapted from the web novel "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint" by Sing N Song.
