American actress
Elaine Stritch was an American actress. She began her career in theater, making her Broadway debut in 1946's Loco, and spending many more decades as an acclaimed stage performer. She also appeared on many TV shows, including a starring role in Two's Company and guest appearances on 30 Rock and Law & Order, both of which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award. She also received an Emmy for her one-woman show Elaine Stritch at Liberty, a TV documentary that aired on HBO in 2004. She made a splash on the big screen as well with roles in September, Out to Sea, Autumn in New York alongside Winona Ryder, and Monster-in-Law with Jennifer Lopez.
