Ashok Kumar was an Indian actor. He appeared in films Before the Monsoon, Tumhare Liye alongside Sanjeev Kumar, Anuraag, Pakeezah, Chhoti Si Baat, Judaai, and Duniya. Kumar also directed the films Coolie and Abhinandana. Beyond acting, Kumar released the extended version of the album Shyam Brass Band, Vol. 4 Street Music with Ishwari Prasad. Among his most popular songs are Rail Gaadi (Indian Trap) with Vasant Desai and Harindranath Chattopadhyay, Laaj Bhare in Nainan Mein (From Uttara Abhimanyu) with S. N. Tripathi, and Piya Bawri Piya Bawri (Jhankar Beats) with Asha Bhosle.
